What causes low self esteem in a man? Many things can cause a lack of self-esteem. It might be due to childhood experiences, such as bullying or neglect.  It could result from negative societal messages about what it means to be a man. It could also be the result of personal failures or trauma.  Whatever the cause, low self-esteem can have a profound effect on a man's life. It can lead to depression, anxiety, and substance abuse. How can I help my elderly narcissistic mother?
Ding Dong The Witch Is De...

So, I will be extremely frank here. A mother is someone who nurtures, who heals, who loves you, and wants the best for you.

Just because she gave you birth does not mean she is a mother; she is just a life-giver.

And the truth is that any FEMALE can give life, but only WOMEN can be mothers.

This answer will be harsh, but here it is.

If your narcissistic mother is getting older and has no one to take care of her but you...OH WELL.

MOVE ON.

Let her rot alone herself.

Listen, think about what she took from you.

Your childhood, your self-esteem, your time, your dreams, your goals, your LIFE.

And now, in the twilight of her life, she thinks she has the right to ask you for more of YOUR LIFE

You do not owe this MONSTER anything.

If your narcissistic mother is aging and needs your help to take care of her...DON'T give her help.

You owe her nothing after the childhood, teenage years, and young adult life you gave her.

This answer may sound harsh, but it doesn't stop it from being true.
